Overview

Kittylog (“the app”) helps you track your cat’s health, play with your cat and manage cat expenses. It is developed and operated by independent developer Cooper (“we”). The app does not collect, upload or sell any of your personal information, and we run no servers for it.

1. Information the app handles

Data you enter (cat profiles, photos, weights, care, feeding, water and litter records, automatic device settings, play records, expenses and receipts) is stored on your device.
iCloud Sync & Backup (membership): when turned on, this data is saved to your own iCloud Drive to sync between your iPhone and iPad and to restore it on a new device (backups include receipt images). We cannot access it. Apple’s privacy policy applies.
Sign in with Apple (optional): Apple gives the app an anonymous user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email (you can hide your real email). This information stays on your device to show your account status and is never uploaded.
Apple Watch (membership): iPhone and Watch sync locally through Apple WatchConnectivity, never through any server.
Purchases are processed by the App Store. We only learn whether a purchase is valid, never your payment details.
Contact and recipe submissions are sent with the Mail app on your device; we only receive what you choose to send and use it only to reply.

2. Permissions

Notifications for care reminders (vaccines, deworming, refilling or cleaning automatic devices). You can turn them off in Settings.
Photos through the system photo picker (cat avatars, receipts); only the photos you choose are shared with the app.
Camera only when you photograph or scan a receipt. Amount recognition happens on your device, and receipt images stay on your device (and in your own iCloud if you use iCloud Backup).
Location (optional) only “while using the app” when you tag an expense with a place, to show nearby places. The chosen place is stored on your device.

3. Third parties

The app includes no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs and does not track you across apps.

4. Retention and deletion

Delete your account: when signed in, tap the account card on the Me tab, then Delete Account. This removes the Sign in with Apple information and your cat data, records, ledger and backups on this device and in your iCloud. To also unlink the app from your Apple Account, go to Settings → Apple Account → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple, choose Kittylog and stop using it.
Erase data: without signing in, use Me → Settings → Data → Erase Data to clear this device (members can also clear the iCloud sync data and backups).
On-device data is removed when you delete the app; iCloud data can also be deleted in Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage → Kittylog.

5. Children

The app does not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Changes

We will post updates on this page with a new date and mention significant changes in the app.
